Cummer Avenue United Church is seeking a Property Manager for a 20,000 sq. ft. church building located at 53 Cummer Avenue in Toronto. The property includes a state-of-the-art HVAC system., a parking structure and landscaped grounds.
Position Description:
The Property Manager will ensure the safe, efficient and effective operation and maintenance of the church building, parking facility and grounds including all systems and equipment within the building. A detailed job description is available on request.
This position will report to the Chair of Property, or in their absence, to the Chair of the Executive Board. The position will require regular liaison with the Church Administrator, Ministers, Congregation members and tenants.
This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) located at Cummer Avenue United Church. The incumbent must be available to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and statutory holidays and to be on-call for emergency responses.
Qualifications:
This position requires relevant experience in facilities management; demonstrated knowledge of building systems including but not limited to HVAC computerized control systems; ability to perform minor hands-on repairs and general maintenance; excellent interpersonal, time management and organizational skills as well as good working knowledge of English, both written and oral; ability to work both as part of a team and independently within a volunteer driven, non-profit organizational structure; good knowledge of WHMIS, AODA, Building and Fire Codes and the Occupational Health and Safety Act; physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A police vulnerable persons record check may be required.
The annual salary range for this position is commensurate with experience and qualifications. The incumbent may be eligible for health and other benefits through the United Church of Canada.
