Four Thursdays in August at 11:30 am. Enjoy relaxed conversation, prayer, and reflection with Rev. Cheryl-Lynn as we discuss the scripture passages for the upcoming Sunday.
Bring a bag lunch.
The passage for each week are:
August 10 – Genesis 37: 1-4, 12-28 – “Enduring Jealousy” - Joseph is sold into slavery by his brothers.
August 17 – Genesis 45: 1-15 – “Embracing Reconciliation” – Joseph is reunited with his brothers.
August 24 – Exodus 1:8-2:10 – “Courageous Faith” – The midwives Shiphrah and Puah defy Pharaoh’s orders.
August 31 – Exodus 3: 1-15 – “God Encounters” – Moses experiences God in the burning bush.
You are invited to think about the following 4 questions in relation to each of the passages:
